A Little About MeI would like to take this time to help you get to know me a little better. I grew up in Greenwich, Ohio, on a family farm with seven siblings. This is my 33rd year teaching, and I am very thankful to be a member of this great profession. I taught fifth grade for twelve years prior to teaching technology to grades five through eight for twenty-one years. I have found my years of teaching to be very enjoyable and rewarding. I want to teach my students to utilize technology and incorporate it into their daily lives and future careers. My goal as a teacher is to create a year that is fun and exciting, while guiding my students toward responsible digital citizenship. As teachers we have an entire world of tools to engage our students that no other educators in the history of education ever had. What a great time to be a teacher!

My EducationI am a 1982 graduate of South Central Schools so I am "South Central Proud" through and through. I received a Bachelors Degree of Science in Education from Ashland University in 1988. I earned my Masters Degree of Education with a Math Concentration also from Ashland University. I strive to attend technology sessions throughout the school year, and I have taken additional courses each summer and will continue to do so every year. I believe in learning something new every day.

Outside the ClassroomOutside the classroom my pride and joy are my daughters Hannah, 22, and Sarah, 20. Hannah graduated with a teaching degree from my alma mater, Ashland University. She is teaching 2nd grade at Kean Elementary in the Wooster City School District. Sarah is a junior at Heidelberg University. Sarah is majoring in education and is a captain for Heidelberg volleyball. I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband, Bryan, who teaches middle school science and is lovingly known as South Central's staff meteorologist. Two of my favorite pastimes are photography and hiking. Recently we spent a week in Hocking Hills, hiking many of the trails and enjoying nature's beauty. I look forward to getting to know each of you this school year. I know it's going to be a great one!
