South Central Middle School Student Council

South Central Jr. High Student Council is sponsoring a food drive to help needy families in this area during the holiday season.  They are asking all students in the Jr. High, grades 5 – 8, to bring nonperishable food and pantry items to school December 9- 13.  This year we will also be accepting cash donations. Last year our Jr. High students brought in a very generous amount of food items to share with the needy in our own community.  Our goal this year is 2,000 items in just five days.  This would be a great help to the Delphi Methodist Church and Plymouth/Shiloh Food Pantries as well as the North Fairfield Neighbor-to-Neighbor Food Pantry. All of these food pantries serve families in the South Central area. Students with library fines can also show their food items to Mrs. Wallace. She will excuse up to $1 of a student’s library fines for each food item brought in. One of the joys of being a part of the South Central community is the generosity that is repeatedly shown when there are genuine needs such as these. Thank you in advance for helping to make this Christmas season a little brighter for local families in need. Have a wonderful holiday season.
